The #Aspire #FarmToFork Career Fair series is proud to present our community partners for our next stop in #Ottawa!

Youth under 30 are over half of the world's popula

Youth under 30 are over half of the world's population - they hold unprecedented economic and social opportunity potential. According to the @UN, about 1.8 billion young people between the ages of 10 and 24 make up the largest youth population ever recorded.

#YouthLead movements to make things better. And when they don't, they can be given more chances to do so.

Globally, only 2.6% of parliamentarians are under 30 years old, and less than 1% of these young MPs are women. They deserve to be co-creators of their own future, the unique lived experience of #Youth must automatically earn them #ASpotAtTheTable.

Our #FarmToFork Career Fair Series takes the potential of young Ontarians seriously and offers as much opportunity as possible to explore the pathways they can take to design their futures and contribute to their community and local economy!

Canada’s Youth Unemployment rate is more than double the national unemployment for all groups. Getting to explore careers as a young person is key to bright, green, meaningful futures - and powerful, inclusive economies.

This year’s UN International Youth Day theme is Green Skills for Youth: Towards a Sustainable World.

Brighter futures and green jobs aren’t just about finding work that aligns with your values. You can't know what you don't know, and green skills don't just appear out of thin air!

No, it's not just you. Politics are becoming more extreme. It's frustrating. But it's not hopeless.

Polarization is on the rise in Canada, according to a new report from @ppforumca.

We proudly supported the development of this publication: @firstworkontario hosted a focus group at our 2023 Aspire Youth Summit to discuss youth perspectives on polarization.

We commend the Public Policy Forum for ensuring young Canadians - who don't normally participate in opinion polls - were included in this research.

#Youth not in #Employment, #Education or #Training (#NEET) in 2020 rose to 23.3% worldwide. @firstworkontario knows that building youth up through our Aspire initiative is a primary directive to ensure participation in Ontario’s bright future.

At First Work, our Youth Council members offer their authentic voices to direct all we do.

To recognize @unitednations #YouthSkillsDay 2023, we will amplify the incredible trainings our members offer and some we’ve taken as an organization ourselves.

Employment Service Providers are driven to help youth in Ontario get their first start at employment, or restart a career pathway put on pause.

Recognizing the potential of young people as catalysts for change and commit to providing them with the skills and opportunities they need to build a prosperous and sustainable world for all.
