Exploring Careers in Public Sector

Ottawa and Toronto – April 25 & 30, 2019!

Career exploration initiative in partnership with the Federal Government of Canada providing 30 twelve month federal work experiences through the YEP Program to young people in the National Capitol Region and Greater Toronto Region.

In partnership with key NGOs, the Youth Employment Program (“the YEP”) is a 12-month federal work experience program that seeks to increase employability, confidence and success of youth furthest away from opportunity in both the National Capital Region (Ottawa/Gatineau) and the Greater Toronto Region.

The YEP participants will gain valuable experience and skills, be exposed to a variety of files and opportunities, and, more generally, learn how the government works. Whether a senior executive or an administrative assistant, all employees within the Government of Canada can take pride in being a public servant.

What’s more, we believe a key ingredient to success is ensuring that there are proper supports. This work experience program will include a robust onboarding package, on-going learning and development opportunities (in-class and online modules), as well as encourage mentorship, community and peer support.
